Yes. Medicare requires an in-person or Medicare-approved telehealth visit with your treating practitioner within six months before the CGM is ordered to evaluate your diabetes control and confirm that applicable coverage criteria are met. Continued coverage requires follow-up with the treating practitioner every six months.
